Local orchestral concerts

Please join us for our annual Pre-Assessment Concert at Langley. Family and friends also are invited to take part in a pre-concert reception beginning at 6pm in Langley Hall. For this concert, students must wear their formal wear, which is tuxedos for gentlemen and gowns for ladies. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! Please click this link to the SignUp Genius.

Students in Symphonic and Philharmonic Orchestras are required to attend the District Assessments on Sat, March 15 at Herndon High School (700 Bennett Street, Herndon, VA 20170). Parents, family, and friends are encouraged to attend to show their support!

Symphonic Orchestra students should arrive and begin rehearsal by 12:45 pm, perform 1:45 pm, sightread 2:15 pm, dismissal approximately 2:30 pm

Philharmonic Orchestra students should arrive and begin rehearsal by 3:55 pm, perform 4:40 pm, sightread 5:15 pm; dismissal approximately 5:30 pm

Formal concert attire is required (tuxedos with black socks and black dress shoes for gentlemen and gowns with black closed-toe shoes for ladies). Your presence for this event and formal attire are a part of class grade.

New string students wish to be considered for advanced placement, section seating, or Philharmonic class, are required to submit an audition by video.  The audition videos can by submitted by Google Form before Sunday, May 5, 2025. Please read this webpage for details.
